## Overview

Export analytics data as a CSV file to use in reports, spreadsheets, or other tools. The export uses the same site, time period, and filters you’ve selected in the Analytics view.

## How it works

When you export, Refined generates a CSV that matches what you’re viewing in Analytics:

- The selected site
- The selected time period
- Any filters you’ve applied (for example, page type or group-by)

Exports for small data sets download immediately. For larger exports, the export runs in the background and downloads automatically when it’s ready. You can keep using Refined Administration while the export runs.

## To export analytics data

1. Go to Refined Administration.
2. Click **Analytics** in the left-hand menu.
3. Open the tab you want to export (for example, **Page trends** or **Searches**).
4. Set the time period and any filters.
5. Click **Export** in the filter bar.

## What you can export

- **Page trends** – Page views and unique users over time for the selected site. (“Page views” includes Confluence pages and landing pages on your site.)
- **Searches** – Search terms and related metrics, including searches, results on average, and click-through rate (CTR).

**Important:** Only one export of a given type can run at a time. If an export is already in progress for a tab, wait for it to finish before starting another export from that tab.

## Retention and data scope

- Analytics data started collecting at the earliest around **June, 2025**, or when the site was created (whichever is later).
- Analytics events are retained for up to **two years**. Older entries are deleted and aren’t available for export.

If a site has opted out of collecting usage analytics, no data is available for Analytics, and the feature is disabled for that site.
